What cookies are
Cookies are small text files saved by your browser when you visit a site. They make the site work properly and, in some cases, help us understand how it is used or measure how well our ads perform. Alongside them we use similar technologies, such as localStorage.
How consent works on 4drinks.ro
On your first visit you see a banner with three options: Accept all, Essential only and Settings.
Important: analytics and marketing cookies are not placed at all until you give your explicit consent. If you choose “Essential only”, the Google Analytics, Google Ads and Meta Pixel scripts are not loaded in your browser.
Your choice is remembered for 6 months. You can change it at any time by pressing “Cookie settings” in the footer of any page.
Which cookies we use
Strictly necessary — cannot be disabled
| Name | Who sets it | What it does | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
4d_age_ok | 4drinks.ro | Remembers that you confirmed you are over 18, so the age gate doesn't appear on every page | 30 days |
4d_consent | 4drinks.ro | Remembers your choice from the cookie banner | 6 months |
These two items are stored locally in your browser and are not sent to any third party.
Analytics — only with your consent
| Name | Who sets it | What it does | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes unique visitors | 2 years |
_ga_* | Google Analytics | Maintains session state | 2 years |
It shows us how many people visit the site, where they come from and which sections they read. It does not show us who you are.
Marketing — only with your consent
| Name | Who sets it | What it does | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_gcl_au | Google Ads | Measures whether an ad click led to an action on the site | 90 days |
_fbp | Meta Pixel | Measures how well our Facebook and Instagram ads perform | 90 days |
_fbc | Meta Pixel | Records which ad you came from | 90 days |
These cookies tell us whether the money spent on advertising actually brought someone into the shop. We do not use them to show you personalised ads based on the products you viewed.
Embedded services
The map section loads Google Maps, which may place its own cookies. It loads only after cookies have been accepted, and the processing is subject to Google's privacy policy.
The WhatsApp buttons place no cookies on our site — they simply open the WhatsApp app or website.
How to control your cookies
- From the site: press “Cookie settings” in the footer and change your choice.
- From your browser: any modern browser lets you block or delete cookies from its settings. Look for the “Privacy and security” section.
- At the source: you can opt out of Google Analytics through the official extension, and out of Meta's personalised advertising from your Facebook account settings.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies may cause the age gate to appear on every page.
